COVID-19 Update

24 March 2020

Dear Residents/Families,

As you may be aware Harris County and City of Houston has announced a new Stay at Home/Work safe order to go into effect this evening at 11:59p. This order will have no effect on the care and services provided by the Hallmark as we are deemed an essential business and do not anticipate any disruption as a result. Currently this order runs through April 3rd.

Our staff members have been issued essential employee documentation to be able to move freely between home and work in the event of a potential crackdown on transportation.

This order does restrict all NON-ESSENTIAL outings, however, does not restrict our residents from taking advantage of the grounds on our campus so long as we continue to maintain social distancing (defined as 6ft by Department of Health).

All prior prevention recommendations remain in place, including restrictions on visitation and screening/temperature monitoring for those entering/returning to the campus (Please remember essential outings ONLY).

We have not had any active COVID-19 cases, however we do have several residents on self-quarantine. Self-quarantine is recommended when you or someone you have been in contact with has been in contact with someone who is a known or at-risk carrier.

Our programming team is continuing to come up with new and creative ideas to keep us all busy and entertained. We appreciate you patience and effort to work with us as we make every effort to minimize the spread and effect of this virus.
