What is The Hallmark?
The Hallmark is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, upscale Life Plan senior living community (Continuing Care Retirement Community). We offer four levels of care including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Skilled Nursing.
How long have you been in business?
Founded and sponsored by Brazos Presbyterian Homes, Inc., The Hallmark has been providing exceptional retirement living since 1963. Together with our sister community, Brazos Towers at Bayou Manor, The Hallmark provides a broad array of living choices to meet the expectations of all discerning retirees. As a not-for-profit organization serving persons of all faiths, Brazos Presbyterian Homes, Inc. is committed to its mission through the provision of a complete continuum of care.
Are you a religious organization?
The Hallmark is not affiliated with any religious, charitable, or other nonprofit organization. Brazos Presbyterian Homes, Inc. has historically maintained a close relationship with the Presbytery of New Covenant, Inc.

What are some of the activities The Hallmark provides for the residents?
The Hallmark has a Program Director for Independent Living and an Activities Director for Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Skilled Nursing. Activities are focused around maintaining good physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Some activities include: Tai Chi, water aerobics, Rice Lecture Series, symphony, opera, and theatre performances, bible studies, writers’ and artists’ groups, and MANY more.

Are pets permitted?
Yes. Dogs, cats, birds, and fish are all permitted. Dogs will be interviewed to confirm they can adjust to a community setting.
What type of dining experiences do you offer?
Our menu offers café-inspired meals and classic entree dining in our dining room or delivered to residents’ doorsteps. We will soon transition to various dining venues that offer casual, outdoor, and traditional dining options.
When is the best time to make a move?
We find it is best to move when you are fit in mind and body. As we age, changes challenge us more and more and even good changes require energy! The Hallmark and communities like us help individuals stay as independent as possible for as long as possible. That is why it is vital to move into a community when you are independent and active.
Do you have transportation services?
Yes. As a part of our monthly fee, we have two dedicated luxury cars and drivers available to our residents seven days a week. Our drivers can take you anywhere in a ten-mile radius. We have a covered garage and assigned parking spots for those who have their own car. Access to our drivers is still available as well. The ten-mile radius covers downtown Houston, the Medical Center, Greenway Plaza, River Oaks Shopping Center, West University, Highland Village, Rice University, St. Thomas University, the Heights, and the Galleria!

Is there a wait list?
Yes. For the most desirable locations, there is typically a wait list. If you are a planner type, you can forecast the year you may have the most interest and we can notify you of what we have available when you're ready! The deposit required for the wait list is fully refundable for any reason.
Coming soon to The Hallmark, is our new high rise building, Uptown Oaks. We are currently taking wait list deposits for this project that will be breaking ground in 2022.
